Existing Tenants

Our Housing Services and Asset Management staff can offer advice on various aspects of your tenancy.

Our staff members are able to offer advice by personally calling at your home, by you calling into one of our offices, by telephone, via e-mail or on-line using the Contact Us section of this website.

If you call into one of our offices, you will not normally need an appointment to see a member of staff. However, if you need to see a particular member of staff, it is advisable to check that the staff member will be available when you call.

Our Aim

We hope to provide you with a good standard of accommodation and to continually maintain your home for you. However, there are certain repairs that you are responsible for. These are summarised below:

  • Broken sinks
  • Broken windows
  • Lost keys
  • Easing doors to fit over carpets
  • Light bulbs and electrical fuses
  • Tap washers and sink plugs
  • Window stays and fasteners
  • Clothes lines and bins
  • Shrinkage cracks in walls or ceilings
  • Any of your personal property that is broken
  • Anything that you have damaged

We also hope to maintain your estate by ensuring that the communal areas (where applicable) are kept to a reasonable standard. We would encourage our tenants to look after their estate and report any problems to us (e.g. vandalism).

Both our Housing Services and Asset Management Teams always welcome your ideas on how we could improve the estate where you live. You may feel that there is an issue over street lighting or fly tipping for example. Please let us know and we will see what we can do!

On-line Services

Many of our Tenant Services are also accessible on-line. The menu at the top right of this page contains a list of the services available to you. We hope you find these on-line services useful and would welcome any comments you may have.

Housing With Support

If you are a tenant and need some general tenancy related support, (things like sorting out your money, getting on with neighbours or reporting repairs) the Association works with lots of agencies which may be able to help. Get in touch with your Housing Co-ordinator who will be able to tell you more. Website links for some of these agencies can be found in the Useful Links section of this website.

The Association has properties throughout Powys and Ceredigion called supported housing where tenants get higher levels of support. If you want to know more, please contact the Community Services Section on 01686 620505. Alternatively, you can request information on-line using the Contact Us section of this website.

How Can Tenants Become More Involved?

We always encourage our tenants to become involved in the running of the Association. Involvement, or participating, in the Association can be in various ways such as:

  • Joining the Board of Management
  • Becoming a shareholder in the Association
  • Attending local meetings
  • Joining the Tenants' Panel
  • Forming an estate based Focus Group
  • Taking part in short surveys about our services
  • Taking part in a Continuous Improvement Service Review

Being involved and/or participating in the Association's business can be as much or as little as you wish. We respect the views of our tenants and welcome opinions.

Without your help, whether it is a compliment, comment or complaint, we are unable to ascertain whether you are satisfied with the service you receive from us.

So why not come aboard and help us to provide an excellent, value for money service.

For an informal chat about how you can become involved please contact your Housing Co-ordinator or send us an expression of interest using the General Comments section of this website.
