Welcome to the Mid-Wales Housing Association Limited (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") website terms and conditions for use. These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website at www.mid-walesha.co.uk (the "Website"). By accessing this Website and/or submitting an enquiry you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.


1. Disclaimer

1.1 While we endeavour to ensure that the information on this Website is correct, we do not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on this Website. We may make changes to the material on this Website, or to the services, at any time without notice. The material on this Website may be out of date, and we make no commitment to update such material.

3.1 These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English and Welsh law. Disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.

3.2 We do not warrant that materials/items for sale on the Website are appropriate or available for use outside the United Kingdom. It is prohibited to access the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful. If you access this Website from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so at your own risk and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

We with our affiliates and other third party licensors are the owners of these rights. 9.3 You warrant and undertake that you will not use the Website for any purpose that is illegal prohibited by these terms and conditions, including without limitation the posting or transmitting of any libellous, defamatory, inflammatory or obscene material. If you breach these terms and conditions then your permission to use this Website terminates immediately without the necessity of any notice being given to you.

10. Miscellaneous

10.1 You may not assign, sub-license or otherwise transfer any of your rights under these terms and conditions

10.2 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions which shall continue to have full force and effect.

10.3 Only the parties to these terms and conditions may seek to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

10.4 We may alter these terms and conditions from time-to-time and post the new version on our Website, following which all our Website will be governed by that version. You must check the terms and conditions on the Website regularly.

10.5 Failure or delay by either party enforcing an obligation or exercising a right under these terms and conditions does not constitute a waiver of that obligation or right.

11. Notices

11.1 All notices to be given by you to us shall:
(a) be via e-mail at info@mid-walesha.co.uk and by post addressed to the Data Controller at Mid-Wales Housing Association Ltd, Tŷ Canol House, Ffordd Croesawdy, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1AL; and
(b) will be deemed received three days after the date of posting.

11.2 All notices to be given by us to you shall:
(a) be via the e-mail or postal address that you provide to us; and
(b) will be deemed received when an e-mail is received in full (or else on the next business day if it is received on a weekend public holiday in the place of receipt) or three days after the date of posting.

12. Replacement

12.1 These terms and conditions replace all other terms and conditions previously applicable to the use of the Website.


Section B - Terms & Conditions Of Competitions

The following terms and conditions apply to competitions currently running within the Association. Please refer to the closing dates, judging and announcement dates for each competition listed.

1. Art Competitions (March/April 2019)


  1. 5-10 years – theme "My family and where I live"   -   Mediums permitted: painting and drawing
  2. 11-15 years – theme "Home"   -   Mediums permitted: painting, drawing, photography (JPEG format) & mixed media
  3. 16-18 years – theme "What makes a community"   -   Mediums permitted: painting, drawing, photography (JPEG format), mixed media, & printmaking

Rules of the competitions:

  • Entries for the art competitions close on Friday 19th April
  • The winners will be contacted within 14 days of the closing date and the winning entries will be displayed in the Tenants Resource Room at Mid Wales Housing Associations offices – Ty Canol, Ffordd Croesawdy, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1AL.
  • Entries must have the entrants name, address and age on the back.
  • All entries must be done by the person named on the back of the entry
  • Only one entry is permitted per person.
  • By entering the competition, you give Mid-Wales Housing permission to use photographs for promotional material.
  • Mid-Wales Housing cannot accept any responsibility for loss or delay to entries.
  • There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize for each category with the prizes being as follows:
    1. First £30 voucher,
    2. 2nd £20 voucher
    3. 3rd £10 voucher
  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferrable.
  • By entering this competition, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Voiceover Competition (March/April 2019)

Rules of the competition:

  • Entrants must be a child or grandchild of a tenant or resident of Mid-Wales Housing Association.
  • Be aged 12 or under.
  • Videos must be submitted via email and be received no later than midnight on 12th April 2019.
  • Videos must be no longer than 1 minute in length.
  • All entrants must have the following information provided in the email:
    1. Name and address of the tenant/resident
    2. Name and age of the child and their relationship to the tenant/resident
  • The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the closing date of the competition.
  • The winner must be available to come to Ty Canol, Ffordd Croesawdy, Newtown, Powys, SY16 1AL during the week commencing 22nd April 2019 to have their voice recorded for the short film.
  • A script will be provided for the winner in advance of recording.
  • Mid Wales Housing Association will cover travel expenses for the winner and one adult to come to Newtown for the recording.
  • Only one entry is permitted per person.
  • By entering the competition, you give Mid-Wales Housing permission to use photographs and the voice recording for promotional material.
  • Mid-Wales Housing cannot accept any responsibility for loss or delay to entries.
  • The prize will be a ticket for a family of four for one viewing of a film at a cinema of their choice in their local area.
  • No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferrable.
  • By entering this competition, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
